Manual switching

• Click to switch: In the Profiles page, click any profile to activate it
• System tray: Right-click the Jyv icon in your system tray → Profiles → Select profile
• Hotkeys: Assign keyboard shortcuts to profiles in Settings → Hotkeys

Hotkey switching

1. Set up hotkeys

   Go to Settings → Hotkeys and click Add Hotkey.

2. Assign profile hotkey

   Choose action: Switch to Profile

   Select the profile and press your desired key combination (e.g., Ctrl+Alt+1)

3. Save and test

   Click Save and test your hotkey. The profile should switch instantly!

Ctrl+Alt+1 → Work Calls
Ctrl+Alt+2 → Gaming
Ctrl+Alt+3 → Music Production
Ctrl+Alt+4 → Streaming

Available triggers

• App launches: Activate when specific apps open (Zoom, Discord, OBS)
• Calendar events: Switch during scheduled meetings
• Time of day: Different profiles for work hours vs. evening
• Network connection: Home vs. office vs. coffee shop
• Window focus: When you focus a specific application

Setting up automation

1. Edit profile

   Select a profile and click Edit.

2. Add automation trigger

   Scroll to Automation and click + Add Trigger.

3. Configure trigger

   Example - Activate "Work Calls" when joining Zoom meetings:

   Trigger Type: App Launch
   Application: Zoom.exe (or Zoom.app on Mac)
   Condition: When in a meeting (optional)
   Action: Switch to "Work Calls" profile
   Priority: High

4. Set priority

   If multiple profiles have triggers that could activate simultaneously, the one with higher priority wins.

"Work Calls" Profile

App Volumes:
  Zoom/Teams: 100%
  Slack: 50%
  Spotify: 20%
  Browser: 30%

Microphone:
  Noise Suppression: 80% (high for home office)
  Voice Enhancement: ON
  Input Device: Desk microphone

Triggers:
  - When Zoom launches
  - During calendar events tagged "meeting"
  - Weekdays 9am-5pm

"Gaming" Profile

App Volumes:
  Game: 70%
  Discord: 100%
  Spotify: 40%
  Browser: 0% (muted)

Output Routing:
  Discord → Headphones
  Game → Speakers (or headphones)

Microphone:
  Noise Suppression: 60%
  Voice Enhancement: OFF (prefer natural sound)

Triggers:
  - When Steam launches
  - When Discord voice channel is active

"Focus Mode" Profile

App Volumes:
  IDE/Code Editor: 100%
  Spotify: 30% (lo-fi background music)
  Slack: 10% (notifications only)
  All other apps: 0%

Microphone:
  Noise Suppression: OFF (not needed)
  Muted by default

Triggers:
  - When VS Code launches
  - Weekdays 2pm-5pm (deep work time)
  - Manual activation via Ctrl+Alt+F

"Streaming" Profile

App Volumes:
  OBS: 100%
  Game: 65%
  Discord: 85%
  Chat app: 100%
  Music: 25%

Output Routing:
  Discord → Headphones only (not streamed)
  All other audio → Both headphones + OBS

Microphone:
  Noise Suppression: 90%
  Voice Enhancement: ON
  Compressor: ON

Triggers:
  - When OBS is recording/streaming
  - Manual hotkey: Ctrl+Alt+S

Export/Import profiles

Share your profile configurations with teammates or use them on multiple computers:

• Click ⋮ next to a profile → Export Profile
• Save the .jyv file
• On another machine, click Import Profile and select the file

Cloud sync (Pro)

Jyv Pro users can enable cloud sync to automatically sync profiles across all their devices:

1. Enable cloud sync

   Go to Settings → Account → Cloud Sync and toggle it ON.

2. Choose what to sync

   Select which profiles to sync and whether to include automation rules.

3. Sign in on other devices

   Sign into Jyv Desktop on your other computers with the same account. Profiles will automatically sync!

Version control

Jyv automatically saves profile history. Click Profile History to restore previous versions if you make unwanted changes.
