Troubleshooting

Installation fails on Windows

If installation fails with an error:

  • Ensure you have administrator privileges
  • Temporarily disable antivirus software (some security tools block driver installations)
  • Download the installer again - the file may be corrupted
  • Check you have at least 200MB of free disk space

macOS says "app is damaged"

This is a Gatekeeper security warning. To fix it, open Terminal and run:

xattr -cr "/Applications/Jyv Desktop.app"

Then try launching Jyv Desktop again.

Virtual audio driver not detected

If the virtual audio devices don't appear:

  • Windows: Restart the Windows Audio service or reboot your computer
  • macOS: Restart your Mac to activate the audio driver
  • Reinstall Jyv Desktop and ensure you grant driver installation permissions
